Mr Praveen Kumar is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist and Cataract Surgeon in Reading and Windsor, providing specialist private eye care for patients across Berkshire and surrounding areas. Mr Kumar practices at Ophthalmology Department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, which has been awarded University Department of Excellence status through the Health Innovation Partnership between Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Reading, recognising excellence in clinical care, education and research. 
 
With more than 35 years of ophthalmology experience and over 30,000 procedures performed, Mr.Kumar provides his expertise in the private sector at leading hospitals in Reading and Windsor, with care tailored to each patient's individual eye health, lifestyle and visual needs.

Mr Kumar specialises in cataract surgery and premium lens implantation, including multifocal, trifocal, EDOF and toric lenses. He also provides specialist assessment and treatment for AMD, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and other medical retinal conditions.

His laser expertise includes YAG capsulotomy, YAG peripheral iridotomy and Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) for appropriate patients.
